I only have 10 minutes

I bought a clock today. This one will be easily seen from the living room, late at night, when I’m binge-watching TV and I don’t know what time it is, so I keep watching, and then go to bed too late, because for a night person there is no such time as too late, only “too early.” As  in morning. 

Second, I really need to sit down and write on the subject: “Wait, don’t throw out that Old Testament!”  So much to write on that one. A Facebook friend literally posted a pic of his bible, ripped in 2, and the Old Testament portion thrown in the garbage! Yikes.  Yes, we are not “under the Law” we are “under Grace” but that does not mean the Law is to be thrown away, it is to be taken to a higher spiritual level.

Ugh. So much to write on that subject, and I don’t have time to write it now, as I have an appointment and have to leave.

Many things of the Old Testament are done away with: sacrificing of animals to “cover” sin is not necessary because of the Blood of Jesus, shed for us.

Stoning of sinners is done away with, because there is Grace and Mercy.

Maybe I can get a list of ideas together and write a blog series on this?

 

But for now, I need to feed Bailey and drive to my appointment.

    17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

    1. Thanks Mary. There are so many things that need to be “passed thru the cross” that we have been redeemed from, but also covenants that are still in place such as the covenant with Noah! We still have rainbows, don’t we!! God didn’t stop the rainbows.
