We came home last night to find it was impossible to attach our phones to our network. It had been a long drive home, so we just figured we would go to bed and fix it in the morning.
I called the Cable company (yes, don’t you just love the cable company…) and the customer support rep told me, “Unplug this, turn off that, turn it back on, stick a paper clip in the ‘restart’ button, now stick your finger in your ear and jump on one foot.” Okay, so she didn’t really say that part, but what’s the difference? I would have done it if we could get the network back.
She then informed me, “You need to call Netgear. Here’s their number.”
I dialed the number and heard, “Welcome to Netflix.” I hung up, and dialed again. “Welcome to Netflix.” Hmm. Nope, that’s not going to work.
I Googled and found a number for Netgear. “Press 2 for Spanish” beats “Press 1 for English” any day. But it got my hopes up.
“Welcome to Netgear.” Oh no, she has an accent. I don’t hear that well as you know, and had a hard time understanding her. Long story short we recycled and renamed the network. I’m now in the process of getting the wireless printer to work. Again.
In other news, I won a flash fiction contest yesterday. I was quite happy, as I didn’t think my story was so great, but I only had 20 minutes to write it, so I guess it wasn’t so bad. It was based on true events, with a little spin and twist at the end and that part didn’t really happen but I suppose someday it could. š
Mr. Porter’s car is in the shop and we need to pick it up later.
Bailey would also like to report that the air conditioner is in the downstairs window and hey, it’s about time!
Bailey looks very comfortable, and very handsome. About time, indeed.
Would Mr. Porter’s car be in the shop at the *tire* place, hm?

LOL. No the car is not at
The ‘tire’ place. It was at a different mechanic. In fact when I had the snow tires removed in the spring I went there as well and skipped an encounter at the ‘tire’ place. š
