Who’s in control?

God raises up kings/princes/presidents and also removes them.

“And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.”  Daniel 2:21

Before Jesus ascended to the Father, He told His disciples, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  Matt 28:18-20

Jesus received authority after He rose from the grave, and turned around and gave his authority on earth to us, the church.

“If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

2 Chronicles 7:14

We are responsible to pray and obey God.

“The King’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.” Proverbs 21:1

The Lord reserves the right to change the hearts of kings.

God raises up kings, and removes kings, but our prayers and actions can also affect how things go on planet earth.
