You may remember a few weeks ago, I was struggling with anxiety, and clung to the scripture:
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Isaiah 26:3
I thought, “Oh yay, I’m done with that.” Ha!
As they say, once more around the mountain!
The anxiety came back again, and concentrating on this scripture didn’t make it go away quickly. What God was showing me was: go deeper. In our microwave society, we like quick answers. God does not always work quickly.
But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
– James 1:4
I had to spend more time. PRESS IN.
Getting some quiet time in this world takes work. I spent a few minutes reading scriptures and declarations out loud. I kept myself busy with other projects. I shampooed the living room carpet! I used the energy of the anxiety to get some work done.
This morning, I woke up to this song and felt peace immediately. I hope it does the same for you.

Have a great day, everyone!
