I proceeded from God’s nostrils, a new creation coming into being. An angel told me I could stay here in heaven, or I could go to earth and take on flesh and become a redeemed person. Other angels told me redeemed persons were very special to God; they were the most like Jesus. Of course I wanted to be like Jesus. BUT, another angel said, I should know, that not everyone who takes on flesh becomes a redeemed person. Some get entangled in the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. Some forget God completely. It was hard for me to understand, how could you forget God? It’s so perfect here. Yes, I was naïve.
Another angel told me my assignment. I would go through some very, very difficult times. I would feel pain that could not be put into words, not once, but many times. I would forget God during my time on earth. I would feel overwhelming loneliness. I would be betrayed, rejected, and abandoned. BUT God would use all this, if I let Him, to help other people to find Him and to not feel so all alone. I would help many people become redeemed by pointing them to Jesus.
I said yes.
It is many decades later, I am still on earth.
God is calling me to remember my seating with Jesus in the heavenly places, specifically the Third Heaven. All of us who know Jesus have a place there. While things go crazy on the earth, and lawlessness abounds, we must remember God told us His Grace would much more abound. It abounds through us and through our prayers.
I need to picture myself sitting next to Jesus on the throne. That is our true identity. Look down on the earth, pray God’s Will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
We all feel time speeding up. Jesus said the time would be shortened, or else no flesh would be saved.
