Did I take a shower today? …because I don’t remember…

Home bound chaos.

What day is it? Thursday? Friday? Where’s my car keys?

Oh, that appointment isn’t until next week. Oh no, it was yesterday!

If you work from home, you know that sometimes the days blend into each other. There’s not much human contact.

Night and day blend into each other.

Throw a kid or two into the mix, and the world really starts to spin faster.

Add a dog.

Dog Hair is a condiment in our house.

Ever find your keys in the refridgerator? Or the milk in the closet? I have.

I sometimes find myself going into the bathroom, and putting on the loud fan that drowns out the rest of the house. And I read. I have a secret stash of a library in there. I sometimes have Sudoku books in there.Polski: Sudoku

At the end of the day, I sometimes ask myself exactly what I did. Because I was busy all day, but nothing got done.

I’ve gone to dentist appointments, only to find out the appointment wasn’t until next month. And vice-versa.

Last time I went to the doctor, I started driving to the WRONG doctor’s office. I was terribly embarrassed. I called the doctor’s office, explained the situation, and thankfully the person on the other end of the phone was very understanding. When I finally arrived at the doctor’s office, the receptionist explained that the guy who had the appointment after me showed up early, and so he went in first. No worries.

I’ve looked down to realize I am still in the same pajamas from yesterday. Thankfully, in the winter, I can just grab my “big blue” winter jacket and go out in public if I need to. I blend right in at Walmart.

I have not yet seen my photo on People of Walmart,   http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/photos  but it’s not beyond the realm of possibility.

Maybe tomorrow I will comb my hair…..

  1. This is hilarious–and I confess I don’t have the excuse of kids or animals, for why time blurs for me! I thank God that my Blogville family and friends can’t see what I look like as I visit them!! May He bless you with a wonderful day.

  2. I identify with, “exactly what did I do today?” I guess that’s why I am journaling and blogging. But I have to write it down fast before I forget….see what you have to look forward to? I’m sure I’m older than you..somewhere between breastfeeding and social security.
