While surfing Amazon to buy some relief for my bunions (yes really), I stumbled across an option for “Amazon Giveaways”. Because my little eBook is not getting a lot of promotion, and I have started writing my next book, I thought I would give it a try.
So I decided, okay, I can give away three ebooks for under 10 bucks. Easy enough. Then at the bottom of the online form, it gives a choice of Public or Private. Well, of course I would want Public, I don’t need to win the book myself, now do I? But that option does not work, no matter how many time I banged on the keyboard it would not change it to Public.
Does that mean that the only people who can see the giveaway are the people who have already bought the book? 😳
I figured, okay, I’ll go through the process, then I can always Tweet the Giveaway info, Facebook it, etc.
But then I got to the end of the transaction, and it said, “Sorry, something is wrong, we may not be able to send you your book.” Oh. Gee. I really wanted you to send me my book. Huh?😕
I then signed up for a daily email (ouch, can you feel the pain of yet another daily email…) that will list all the Amazon Giveaways for that day. I will see tomorrow if by some miracle mine showed up. I do believe in miracles because nothing else makes sense–but that’s another blog.
So I am not sure if I have a Giveaway out there in Amazon Land, or if anyone can see it except me!
If you would like a copy of Arm Wrestling with Pharaoh, please leave a comment below. I will contact the first three people and send you a copy. I will just need your email address.
