That’s the front door of my house.
We are having major work done on our house due to mold.
During July–that three week stretch of heat and humidity–the air conditioning condenser sweated and created tons of water. The small”catch bin” had a drain on the left side. But underneath that was the large catch bin. The connectors of the large bin melted during July, sending the large bin to the right. And so it goes, the water came through our ceiling, onto the carpet in the hall, and into the inside walls of the kitchen. Incidentally the “fail safe” switch had never been installed, it was just sitting nearby.
Feel free to copy my design. Ha.
I am now sleeping at my son’s apt, while Mr. Porter and Bailey sleep at Mr. Porter’s mom’s house. We spent the first week in a hotel, but that’s way too pricey for long term.
Another problem waiting to happen is this pipe full of water. Our contractor will be emptying that for us. No sense waiting until it freezes and breaks the pipe and then thaws in the spring, causing cascading problems all over again.
So that’s the short version of that story.
So far I have only been able to write twice in the last week.
I suppose the “reveal” when all the work is done will make for a nice blog entry.
