James 5:4
Indeed, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out:
And the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. (Lord of hosts)
The wages cry out. The next sentence says that the reapers, the ones doing the work also cry out.
Does money have a voice?
There is an old saying, “Money talks.” People with money can do things other people can’t.
This scripture references money that is gotten through fraud. Money obtained by stealing from those who did the work. The rich person stole the money.
The money cries out. Could this be why rich people never have enough? The money is crying out, and they must keep accumulating things in an effort to drown out the voice of injustice?
We know that murder victims’ blood cries out to God from the ground for justice. (Genesis 4:10) It makes sense that stolen money also cries out for God’s justice
