Last night, I heard a young man sing “Imagine”, the song made famous by John Lennon. The lyrics really gripped me as I understood what they really mean.

Oh, it sounds pretty…..
BUT What if we really look at this in Spirit and Truth?
Imagine there’s no heaven –- Why would we want to dismiss Heaven?
It’s easy if you try –- yes, it’s easy because the darkness hates the Light
No hell below us— Well there IS a Hell and you don’t want to go there!
Above us only sky—sounds so pretty, but it’s deceptive
Imagine all the people living for today—Today is the Day to turn to the Lord
Imagine there’s no countries—One World Government
It isn’t hard to do—It’s easy to go along with the crowd, hard to stand for what is right
Nothing to kill or die for—I don’t want to kill anyone, but I have to be ready to lay down my life for Christ.
And no religion too—Well it’s not about religion as much as a relationship with the Living God
Imagine all the people living life in peace—There is no peace apart from Jesus, the Prince of Peace
You, you may say I’m a dreamer—Deceived is more like it
But I’m not the only one—sadly, no you’re not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us—No, by the grace of God, I won’t join you
And the world will be as one—Deception at its greatest. This can never be achieved by mankind alone.
Imagine no possessions—We need possessions to live on this earth, there is nothing evil about that, unless you are greedy and don’t share and don’t help those in need
I wonder if you can—I choose not to
No need for greed or hunger—Greed/The Love of Money is the root of all evil (not money itself, but the idolatry of it
A brotherhood of man—compromise? No thank you
Imagine all the people sharing all the world—sounds pretty, but at what cost?
SO, many of you might “unfollow” me today. That’s ok. Do what you must.
The world is experiencing so many disruptive things, and as humans, we desire peace and safety. Using only human means, we think we could just all join together and everything will be fine. But study history: it doesn’t happen. We need Divine Intervention.
We live in a fallen world. It will never be perfect until Jesus comes back. Meanwhile, we need to seek the Lord while He may be found, spend time with our brothers and sisters in the Lord, read His Word, and pray, pray, pray for the spiritual blindness to come off the eyes of those who do not yet know Him.

I wondered how long it would take till I seen a blog like this. The song is a beautiful song about hope and less War and more love less hate, as I say every day.
But I can see why the song would almost anger some.
But people who have God in their heart don’t hate.
We just blog..
More love, less Hate
Shaun
And good blog x

ha ha yeah, I see where you are coming from.
I guess different strokes for different folks. There are songs I dislike as they offensive to me. But I always respect anyone’s opinions. Who am I to judge.
