I have been blogging for 2 years now. It started out as an anonymous place to ‘vent’ –but it’s evolved. Sometimes I just write about common stuff, like my dog, and setting off the smoke alarm every time I cook. Many times, my blog talks about my faith in Jesus, and how I am able to get through the day with His Presence helping me.
I noticed that I now have 94 followers. As one of my blogging buddies stated, followers is not my favorite word–maybe it should be readers.
I can’t help but get a little excited that I will soon reach the 1-0-0. Some people have become cyber-space-pals during the two years. Others I don’t know as well, but I’m glad that they find my words worth investigating.
Some readers are friends in real life, and I am always encouraged when they take the time to tell me that they can relate to one thing or another that I’ve written about.
Like many bloggers, my verbal communication skills are not as good as I would like; writing comes a little easier to me. Of course, writing takes more time, but it also gives you the chance to backspace, correct an error, run spell check and use a thesaurus to find a better word.
Verbal communication seldom gives you such an easy do-over.
So I look forward to having 100 readers, and “meeting” them in cyber-space, and being pals.
Hopefully, I will have interesting something to say!
