Last week’s journey – part 3

Yes, I know I did not do part 2 yet, but these are better pictures!

After touring around the Boston (“Beantown”) suburbs, my husband and I took a drive up to Gloucester. It’s only about 45 minutes away from where our hotel was.

For a while, I watched the ocean waves hit against the railing. It was cold.

This was kinda cute, an anchor built into the railing. It’s between two engraved stones where they list the names of men that died while out on the fishing boats. If you saw the movie The Perfect Storm, you might recognize the names on this stone:

Here’s a general memorial stone:

Then we drove around some more, had lunch at a local place. We noticed some windmills, and drove around trying to get a better picture. We were finally successful.

(I’ll spare you the failed attempts at getting the windmill pics…oh ok, maybe just ONE…)

Yes, I’m still trying to figure out how to use the camera.

And here is one pic for entry in “What Am I?” category:

Yes, they are Lobster Traps. Or, as they say in “Glosta”: Lobsta !

We drove to a small park, and I thought this building had some interesting features. I like this door, and might use it as a beginning pic for another post in the future:

The door is full of mystery. What is behind it anyway?

And so ends our short trip to Gloucester.
