I woke up this morning, my head throbbing and my stomach turning. I thought maybe it was a summer flu; but then I read the headlines of the news, and realized it’s not me, it’s the world.

The first story to catch my eye today involved a 27-year old man who loved pizza. He ate pizza every day. Suddenly he stopped coming to the pizza shop.  The Hair Salon business below his apartment started to stink. An investigation showed that the man died and his body had been decomposing for a week, causing the stench.

Eat your vegetables, kids!

The second story is about a black man who was shot in the street. He was lying on his back, with his hands up, explaining to police that the man sitting next to him was autistic and was playing with a toy truck, not a gun. From what I could see in the video, the truck looked white. It didn’t look like a gun.

With all this racial strife in this country, it seems that the police are even more inclined to shoot first and ask questions later. Murders of police officers in recent weeks have made them more defensive, which is escalating the problem. For more on this story, click here.

We need more prayer and positive solutions for what is going on in this country~!
