Happened on The Day the Sun stood still.
In the book of Joshua, starting in verse twelve, tells us about the day that Joshua spoke to the sun and it stood still, extending daylight so that the Israelites defeated their enemies.
Five kings fled and hid together in a cave. When Joshua received this piece of info, he instructed his people to roll great stones against the mouth of the cave and set men by it to guard it.
After Joshua and the children of Israel slayed their enemies that day, Joshua told them to open the mouth of the cave and bring out those five kings.
The Joshua told the men of war to put their feet on the necks of these kings. Literally footstools!
Joshua the struck them—cut off their heads— and then hung them on five separate trees until the evening. Hung them on trees without their heads. Yuck. I guess the rope went under their arms.
Once the daylight was ended, Joshua had them taken down from the trees and had them put back into the same cave they had hidden in.
The cave which they thought was their shelter became their graves.
